Discovering Yoga
In 2003, I began practicing various types of yoga. However, I found yoga difficult and boring due to my lack of flexibility and inability to quiet my mind in static postures. I preferred physical activities with rhythmic music and movement.
First Encounter with Kundalini Yoga
My first Kundalini Yoga and meditation class was a transformative experience. Tough but releasing! I didn’t really understand it but was curious to explore more. I knew deep down that I had to make a weekly class a priority in my schedule, despite my work commitments. Seventeen years later, I am teaching that class and several more.
Teacher Training
Kundalini Yoga teacher training is a personal journey and therapeutic process. It covers more than just anatomy, postures, and yogic philosophy. It includes modules on vitality, stress, communication, relationships, and the mind. I found that true mastery comes from teaching, and even after 17 years, I continue to learn and apply these teachings.

The teachings of Kundalini Yoga were so transformative for me that I felt a calling to go further and step into the unknown. With trust in my heart and compelled to share the teachings, I said goodbye to « security » and left my full-time job to teach yoga in 2007.
Gong Healing
In 2013, I trained as a gong practitioner and use gong therapy in yoga practice and other contexts like businesses, healthcare, education, and end-of-life care. The effects of sound therapy are profound and powerful.
Breath is Life
My biggest learning over this period is the power of the breath. Practicing specific breathing techniques (praanayam) helps tame an overactive mind and release physical and mental tension, anxiety, insomnia, and depression. Kundalini Yoga is a wealth of breath techniques, some of which are seeing the light of day through social media today but are anchored in the ancient vedic teachings of mind and body. We forget the simplest tools are the most powerful and instead we tend to look outside ourselves for solutions. My first motto » Look inside first ».
Gratitude and Inspiration
I am grateful for my teachers, students, spiritual guides, and the lineage of teachers. My students – from all backgrounds and cultures, inspire me daily with their own challenges. Thank you!
Accreditation
Fiona is accredited by the International Kundalini Yoga Teacher’s Association and the Belgian Federation of Kundalini Yoga. She is also a qualified Radiant Child Yoga Teacher and a trained gong master and therapist.

– Brussels Yoga Loft: Special gong events
– Home Studio (near Palais de Justice)
– Near Merode/Montgomery: Wednesday evenings
– Outdoor Sessions: Ad hoc in good weather, updates communicated to subscribers
– Regular Gong Sessions: Brussels (av de Tervuren and Ixelles at Brussels Yoga Loft)
These sessions are suitable for almost everyone and are a wonderful way to relax and restore.
